On Monday morning we came to the shop to see an unusual visitor – a large pray mantis was sitting on top of our cone display cabinet! It must have got inside the shop either when we were closing, or managed to push through under the door at night. As they stay still for a long time we did not disturb it and it was there for the whole day – only in mid-afternoon it started moving and we took it out and placed it onto one of the trees outside the shop.
During the morning many people spotted it, but some did not even notice even while ordering their ice cream…!
